CHALLENGES

As our digital world advances, consent processes evolve alongside it. Dynamic e-consent offers new possibilities, yet its implementation brings a range of challenges that must be thoughtfully addressed.

ORRI APPROACH TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS SPECIFIC CHALLENGES

Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI) promotes research practices that actively involve society, ensuring that innovation is ethical, inclusive, transparent, and aligned with societal needs and values.

CO-DESIGN

We will begin with workshops to discuss and identify problems in dynamic e-consent practices. The first series of workshops will be held seperately for patients and professionals.

CO-CREATE & CO-ASSESS

Then, we will hold workshops with both groups to address the identified issues.

PROJECT OUTPUT

Publish a “Dynamic e-Consent Development Toolkit” that will provide practical guidance and co-creation methods to help organisations design ethical, inclusive, and user-centred digital consent processes for health data use and research.

The project is granted by REINFORCING with the support of the EU and implemented by Metabio in collaboration with Papanikolaou Hospital.
